10 silent symptoms of diabetes 22 January 2020 More than , including they are not diagnosed. In addition, they are diagnosed every year. Type 2 diabetes represents 90 to 95% of all cases of diabetes. Diabetes have many early signs, but some symptoms are subtle. Here are 10 subtle signs of diabetes:1. Frequent urination Most people urinate four to seven times a day. If you are making more trips to the bathroom, especially waking up several times at night to go, it may be a sign that your kidneys are working overtime to remove excess sugar in your blood. Be aware that drinking a lot of water, especially at night, may be why you're peeing so often. "If you're peeing more than once twice at night, try not to drink after 7 p.m. and don't have caffeinated beverages after 5 p.m. If you're still getting up several times to go to the bathroom at night, that can be a sign that something else is going on," says Katherine Bergamo RN, MSN, FNP-C, a practicing nurse at the Clinic of Diabetes and Endocrinology. Red flag: Frequent trips to the bathroom even when water intake and caffeine are limited at night. 2. Be Excessive If you are drinking more than 4 liters (about one gallon) per day and water is not turning off your thirst, this could be due to a high blood sugar. Red flag: You feel thirsty after drinking water. 3. Extreme hunger When blood sugar is not regulated correctly, it sends contradictory messages to your brain about the need for food. Red Flag: You are eating more times a day than usual or experiencing extreme hunger even after a meal. 4. Weakness/fatigue When sugar cannot enter your cells to energize them, your kidneys have to work overtime to remove extra sugar. This can stop feeling weak and fatigued. "If you feel like you couldn't keep your eyes open after a meal, it could be a sign that your body is fighting with high blood sugar." Red flag: You are too weak to do everyday activities that you have been able to do easily before or feel exhausted after eating a meal. 5. Pains and needles Extra sugar in the blood can damage the final nerves, especially those nerves located further away from the spinal cord as their feet. Red flag: If you feel a tingling or numbness that feels like burning on your feet when you wake.6. Blurred VisionThe blood sugar spike can cause swelling in the lens in the eye making it difficult to focus the eyes. When your sugar is very high, your vision is blurred, but when your sugar falls again, it is clear. Red flag: If road signs, menus, books or computer screens enter and come out of focus at different times during the day. 7. Spicy skinThe circulation of the powder along with the loss of fluids (of frequent urination) can cause the skin to dry. Dry skin leads to spicy skin. Red flag: If you still realize that it is more than usual and you have a sensitively dry skin even after increasing water intake. 8. Slow healing wounds and increased skin infections Persistent blood sugar causes ravages in the veins and arteries that disrupt circulation. Without proper blood flow, it takes more time to cure cuts and bruises, and you are more likely to skin infections. Red flag: Paper cuts, blows and bruises take longer than a few days to disappear, cut the crust repeatedly or wounds that last weeks to months.9. From volatile humorsRiding the roller coaster of unstable blood sugar may cause a short temper. High blood sugar also measures the symptoms of depression, such as low energy unit and the desire to stay in bed. Red flag: You are noticeably grumpy or irritable, family or friends comment on your unusual demeanor, or have symptoms of depression that mimic. 10. urinary tract infections and yeast infections High levels of sugar within the urine are a cultivation of bacteria and yeasts near the genitals. (UTI) comes with a burning sensation during the urine and the urine clouded, dark or quenched. It comes with itching, burning and discharge. People with diabetes are twice as likely to suffer from these types of infections. Red flag: UTIs infections or regular yeasts. Modify your diet before calling your doctorBergamo says that if you are having some of these subtle symptoms try a low diet in protein carbohydrates and green leaf vegetables. Avoid sugary drinks and drink at least 2 liters of water for a few days to see if these symptoms improve. "The subtle symptoms can only be that you are eating too many carbohydrates and your body cannot handle it," says Bergamo. "It doesn't necessarily mean you have diabetes, but it's a wake-up call that you might be headed like that. " If you have symptoms that are terrifying such as sudden numbness, weakness or chest pains, call your doctor immediately. Do you care about diabetes?
